Restarting Tracker and/or the Deskbar

If it ever happens that you need to restart Tracker or the Deskbar (because of a crash, for example), just do as follows:

  1. Press the Alt-Ctrl-Del keys to display the Team Monitor.
  2. Find Tracker/Deskbar in the application list that appears in the Team Monitor (scroll down/up if necessary), select it with the mouse and then click on the [Kill Application] button.

    3. Killing Tracker using the Team Monitor.

  3. Now that you have killed (closed) Tracker/Deskbar (whichever may have been the case), you can simply restart it by clicking on the [Restart the Desktop] button.

    4. Restarting Tracker from the Team Monitor.

This will restart Tracker (or Deskbar, or both), and you should be back to a happy Haiku computing.
